Calendula Essential Oil
Calendula essential oil has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s an important ingredient in many burn treatments and can help the wounds heal, as well as reduce and eliminate scarring.
This oil can be used to make soothing creams for rashes and bug bites, as well as dermatological conditions like dermatitis or psoriasis. It helps reduce acne and the accompanying scarring. It can even be used to treat diaper rash. Parents should consult a doctor first, though, to make sure it’s safe for their baby. While it is typically quite gentle and soothing, in certain individuals it may cause allergic reactions.
One thing about this oil worth noting is that it has antifungal properties, you can create an ointment for jock itch or athlete’s foot using a few drops of this essential oil and a carrier oil.
Keep out of reach of children. Dilute Before Use. Do not apply to to broken or irritated skin. Discontinue use of the oil if any adverse reactions occur, including, swelling, rash, or skin sensitivity.
